Shawn Jones Jr still isn't on scholarship?

As the offseason continues and transfer portal movement ramps up, here's the latest on how the Mississippi State basketball roster is taking shape.

Add Nwoko, and that leaves Mississippi State with three open scholarship slots. If MSU lands a wing and a center, only one scholarship spot will remain. That could go to another portal signee or to guard Shawn Jones Jr. who has served as a walk-on despite appearing in 59 games across two seasons.

I really thought Jones was on scholarship this past season. Can't figure out who had one of the 13 if he didn't.

Between Russell, Scott, and Myers...Jones Jr not having one for a second year is wild, especially in the current world of how many players transfer each season.

Yeah I forgot about Andy. I just pulled the list from the roster on the website. And he ain't there no more.

I'm sure he's taken care of, but he's a better basketball than a few in that group. He's better now than Murphy. I doubt we ever see any significant contribution from Chol, and maybe not Russell.
