You may have missed the memo, but this is a men's board, with a few women, that have an interest in Penn State and like to hold discussions.

However, you seem to be one of the one's attempting to turn it into a "test board". Perhaps you should not reply, and therefore bump threads that you don't like. Maybe, just maybe ignore them?

Thankfully I missed the memo. You have things bass-ackwards. 91Joe is consistently trying to turn everything political, and introduce political topics. He can't help himself. That crap needs to stop.

You should put Joe on ignore and live a happy life. If he aggravates you why not just turn it off? Makes no sense to complain when you have the power to solve your personal concern.

Edit: I have exactly one person on ignore and that person is the only one liking your posts.
Edit: Now I have two on ignore.

I have been ignoring people for years.

When I was third grade I was ignoring people at a fifth grade level.

The problem with political posts is that they're a cancer. They multiply and ruin the whole board, as they get more and more contentious. That's why they needed to dedicate a whole board to the subject matter at the old place. People couldn't help themselves from trying to destroy the main board, so they created a playground where they could get their fix of awfulness. Ignoring cancer doesn't solve the issue.

Worse, they soon overwhelm the activity on the main board. The other boards show that the Cesspool has a post every 3 or 4 minutes, while the "main" board has a post every 10 or 15 minutes, many of them polluted by the political spillover. So the website becomes mainly a political board instead of mainly a sports board, dominated by a couple dozen jackasses fighting with each other.

When this new board came online, I said that the existence of a Test Board would help keep the main board clean. It's pretty obvious that I was wrong about this. Good call, @Nohow

When on3 was still new, we were able to self-police. As it grows we get more people that don’t have the same interest in keeping it clean and thus don’t help self-police but rather fan the flames. Add an influx of people who are used to the Wild West and here we are…. I’m so happy for the team with the new members but it’s a pretty sharp double-edged sword. At this point we might as well have a test board to help silo folks, along with a strict suspension/ban hammer for those who venture outside of the test board with their hate

So apparently the shooter came from Las Vegas, and they are now calling it a politically motivated hate crime over relations between Taiwan and China. The shooter tried to superglue the doors. What's up with super glue these days? The guy who died tackled the shooter.

We've hired a special duty officer for our big meetings. Had someone take a sledge hammer to our main sign (which was concrete and masonry).
