My favorite line from the article:
Suppose then that Georgia trounced TCU in a semifinal instead of the title game, while Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh “Harbaughed” his way to a loss to Alabama in the other semi. We would’ve had another all-SEC title game between the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide.

Or, much simpler (and closer to happening) OSU makes the FG, and UM only pisses away 21 points instead of 28, and you have an OSU/UM rematch in the final

FWIW: Paul Sullivan's postulations (he is the guy who wrote that article) regarding UM/Illinois would have done NOTHING to alter the Final Four matchups (would have still been UGA vs OSU and UM vs TCU, obviously)

I also think the close game with Ohio State and UGA probably admitting (behind closed doors) that they never expected TCU to beat Michigan gave them the wake up call they may have needed. UGA was firing on all cylinders and TCU made a lot of unforced mistakes. The combo gave us the buttwhipping we saw.

If Michigan didn't have a season's worth of goofy errors, FUBARs, bad bounces, etc - along with being without their key player, Corum - they would have beaten TCU by 3 or 4 touchdowns themselves (of course, that is all speculation - but it is MY speculation, which is of course supported by all common sense, reason, and analysis :) )

I think TCU and UGA could play 10 times, and probably have 8 games decided by 28+ points (all, of course, in UGA's favor)
