although this could all be fake news....

I love this idea and hope the B1G implements it soon. The Big XII had an issue with getting into the CFP not because they didn't have divisions, but because they didn't have a championship game. Now that everyone has a championship game get the two best teams in the conference to play for it. Not OSU and the East killing each other while Wisconsin trots in every f*cking year.

We've wasted a lot of time and money with these fudged up divisions. A few years ago it was "we just need to get better to beat OSU". Well we did and still couldn't beat them. I'd like to be able to experience a little bit of glory in my life someday without that godforsaken football factory dancing on our face every year.

What are your thoughts on the increase in scholarships/recruits?

It says it's only for the next two academic years.....so, don't think it matters much. None of it does with the portal.

“The Atlantic Coast Conference aims to eliminate divisions and adopt a 3-5-5 scheduling format – three permanent games and rotating playing five schools every two years. Dumping divisions would allow home-and-home matchups with every conference opponent in a four-year cycle.”

This is a no brainer…. Other than tradition, I can’t see any argument for divisions being superior to this format. The only thing better is to reduce the size of conferences so they play everyone in conference every season.

I like the 3 permanent game idea, but I don't know how feasible it is. I would expect ours to be border states OH, MD & Rutgers. MD & Rutgers would also have us and each other, but who is their 3rd permanent team? It can't be OSU because of UM & PSU would take 2 of the 3 and id bet that MSU will get OSU since they'd lose us. I think a 4-5&5 setup might work tho with regards to maintaining rivalries and scheduling.
