If Iowa State doesn't figure out how to get the human bowling ball on the turf, he may go for 300 in the Big 12 championship

Saban just told them how to do it. He said go with 8 in the box and hit him high, not low.

I am not watching but the "hit him high, not low" part seems odd. I don't recall Skatebo being super quick. Remember him being more of a power runner.

So you're saying the guy we hired that used to work for Saban didn't learn crap from Saban because that's definitely not how he played it.
I am just saying what Saban said during the half time. He does have a **** load of rings as a coach.

I just repeated what Saban said during the half time. He added that hitting him low like they were not working. He was just bouncing off and keep on running. I am not a coach but he was and a very good Defensive Coach.

Of course he was but that logic doesn't really sound right.

Usually when a guy is a tough runner hitting him high is gonna make it hard to rap up. Thats generally when they bounce off.

Normally you'd go low with good form tackling around the thighs/hips.

Ok. I'll infer that is what it really means since Saban does have a lot of rings as a coach and knows a lot more about defensive strategies than I do. :)

The guy has massive thighs and easily stays upright through contact. Gang tackling him is really the only thing that seemed effective. Helps a lot to slow him down in the backfield.

He's got more moves and is faster than I remembered.

It's impressive how effortlessly every thread can be turned into more misery about our terribleness.

Misery truly does love some company.

I'd rather move on for now.
It's amazing how effortless it is to point out in any thread how terrible we really are. One can choose to stick their head into the sand and try to ignore it (move on) or keep it in front of the masses so MAYBE something will be done about it

I'll definitely get right on adding to the bitchfest because it's going to make a huge difference in our program. What I think and a large amount of negativity is definitely the right medicine. My words and thoughts here are vital and if I don't constantly dwell on it all will be lost

17 off...

It's pretty easy. You don't have to read the OP and you don't have to comment, but others definitely choose to. So when you do comment expect to be agreed with, or disagreed with. It's what we do here.

I've been here quite awhile. Pretty sure I know how it works and what I like and don't like. And I'll remain happy to give my opinion.

And I am the OP in this thread Mr. Dumas, and it wasn't about our suckage until it inevitably got turned into that.

They don't low like back in the old days. They just try to roll them over. Maybe Saban saw something my untrained eyes could see. I don't he was just saying that to just to say it. He said.

If Herbie had said it, I would have not even noticed it but when Saban says it, I will listen. I really think he was being serious when he said it.

I heard him say that. He's not a tall back, 5'10", but he does run pretty upright. I'm assuming Saban thought he'd be easier to knock off balance with high hits.
