Watching this makes me wish Bjork was still at Ole Miss
Bjork did the same thing at Ole Miss. Caved to player pressure and just promoted Matt Luke to head coach. We all know how they ended up. Bjork is a terrible AD and OM is lucky A&M took him off their hands.
Serious question. How does Bjork still have a job?
I would tell the players to run along and let the adults handle this. If they leave they leave. They have a huge NIL war chest they could use to fill the roster back.
If what is being reported happened with Stoops is true, I think we just got a rare public glimpse of why A&M has done less with more for the last 40-50 years, to many Chiefs and not enough Indians. They have every single other ingredient to be a powerhouse in literally every sport.
Last thing that program needs to do is let the underperforming players decide the new coach. They already got one coach fired.
I think Stoops would have been a solid coach to bring stability to that **** show. Would have still been middle of the pack with a 10 win season every now and then. When other fan bases think of them they don’t think tough defense or great offense, they think weird nut grabbing dairy farmers.
