Auburn just got hosed.

once again, The Refs make a call. Replay doesn't show enough evidence to overturn the call. However after a long review, Refs over turn call. Wow.

And Auburn just got screwed on the review of that punt return. Maybe the ref had a camera angle we didn't see, but otherwise there is no way that was indisputable evidence.

Malzahn must have had something on refs. They aren’t getting calls lately since he left

The ball definitely hit his leg. He wasn’t even looking in the direction of the ball but automatically threw his hands up when he felt it hit him. Then he looked toward the ball. Go back and look at the replay.

They just could not let us have the worst SEC official call this year. That was worse than creating a penalty during review.

Are you kidding? The ball touched his leg. It was the right call.

Sorry, but that was not indisputable evidence that the ball touched him. You never saw the ball change angle of flight. Never saw an indentation on his pants where the ball touched him. There was only one angle which was a poor angle that they saw this from. It's supposed to be cut and dry if they change the call... it's supposed to be where everybody looks at it and says,"Yes! The ball did touch him and that's not what happened.

You should worry about this too considering we still have at least one more game with the SEC review committee over seeing all of our calls.

Auburn didn’t get “hosed”. The ball hit the Auburn player’s leg. Clearly.

Did it hit him, or did it just get really, really close to him? You cannot tell from any of the angles they showed on TV, and it has to be indisputable to over turn the call on the field.

As I said, though, it is possible the refs had a camera angle we didn't see.

They were missing both Nix and Carlson, the kicker that tore his ACL during the onside kick last week.

It came back to hurt them as the backup kicker missed a 25-yarder from straight on.

Agreed Dawgzilla. The ball may have grazed his leg. The ball may not have. However, the call on the field was the ball was downed. Auburn ball. Therefore, I think the refs errored in changing the call on the field based on the evidence.

Yeah, that's the clear giveaway (other than the screenshot of the ball actually grazing his leg). He had no idea where the ball was, but as soon as it touched him, he threw his hands up claiming he didn't touch it.

Yep. Horrific officiating. They didn't call it on the field, and there was not enough evidence to overturn it. Just awful.

But....that's the SEC office, not the actual officials (even though technically they are the same entity). The officials got it right. When it doubt on a play like that, you let it ride.
