bumphis and thames to lsu with him this week? What a toolshed this guy is turning out to be. I might go to a tupelo alumni meeting just to heckle his paw. Nothing wrong with helping kids get to a camp or whatever, but if the guy is actively recruiting them for lsu after what he did and the way he did it, then <17> him. You would think that his paw, being a good Bulldog and all would advise him to lay low and just go on over to lsu after graduating highschool. Besides, there is no telling what kind of funk he is gonna catch from those dirty carnies over there.

If I am his dad and in his position, I would advise him not to actively recruit and try to influence players that are prime targets of MSU. After the way things went down, it would be like rubbing salt in the wound. Sorta like running up to your best friend and kicking him in the nuts right after you tell him that you just took his girlfriend.

I'm just guessing here, but I think my emotional attachment to my FREAKING SON may be just a tad stronger than to my college. Just a hunch.
Chris and his dad can go to hell for all I care. If Thames and Bumphis want to go to LSU with him to watch him ride the pine, they can have at it. This 17er has been spotted in Tupelo still wearing MSU gear, eventhough he's going to LSU. It tells me all I need to know about Garrett when I hear about Russell bonding with most of the dandy dozen and others at these camps. You never hear any of the players talk about Garrett. Also, on Yancys top 40 crap, when he asks the player who is the best player or who should win player of the year in Mississippi in that kids opinion, I don't remember Garrett ever being mentioned.

both kids are 4 star players, seems likely that LSU would invite them to camp regardless of Garrett. Garrett may be an all sec qb or (and more likely) the next blake barnes, but if he is solid on LSU, then I would expect him to recruit these types.
1. Of course I expect Daddy Garrett to support jr. and lsu from here on out.
2. For OP4. Do you honestly think that lsu needs garrett to recruit for them? Hell the coonasses aren't even concerned with garrett. They are excited over some wonderkid from texas.
3. I would think that Daddy Garrett, being in the position that he is in would try to eliminate any more waves than has already been created. If I were Daddy Garrett, I would tell Chris "go to lsu if that is what makes you happy, but it would probably be for the best if it isn't public knowledge that you are trying to talk other players that MSU feels good about into leaving the state with you." Trust me on this guys, LSU will be just fine if they don't sign bumphis and thames. The garretts won't be affected at all. There will be plenty of four and five star wr's to throw to over there. </p>
