But, wouldn't you run from the hollers of WV...especially with the slag piled up top of every little strip mine. Why a big rain will put you down near Butchers Holler where you cou........

I read the other day that WV had more folks on ATD than any other state. Kinda like what we have here. Why crawl back into the frying pan when you can just stay in the boiler?

That should explain it though.

Seriously though, story is that he figured out he couldnt get his MS retiremet unless he worked 4 years in the system, so is hoping to get on in some capacity with the state to get his retirement, which will take two more years.

But he is living in the President's House until June, has access to the university plane until June, drawing his salary until June, and is traveling about on the university dime until June. Hmm...Wonder why IHL is letting him do this?

If you were to take away Bennie Thompson's district (which includes the Delta and West Jackson), Mississippi is actually about mid-level in all categories positive and negative. Visiting other States, you see wealthy and poor everywhere, and it didn't seem to be any better or worse there than it was in Mississippi. So, it isn't like he's moving into an abject, poverty-ridden area.

I've heard New Hope is a pretty nice town. Cost of living is pretty low. A General's retirement check will go a long ways here. Columbus AFB is close by, so he can make the occasional flight.

And the thing with Doc is once he got four years, he could add another four years for it to be equivalent to eight years of state retirement because of his military service...
