Ouch!Goodbye Gene,Rose Bowl,and Rivals.Whoever is over the ESPN site has put together one heck of a website.I've noticed Gene's message board has got less and less active.Can't be a good sign for the d#$%head!

I'd want to compare the activity levels of GP and SPS before making that argument-- if that's possible.

about a week ago when I found out that sevendust had migrated. Of course the post was deleted.

Well I just added "cancel Rivals" to the blackberry for Monday and I have been a member for 7 years.

Difference is that this site is not based on subscriptions. Genespage is. We are a free message board and most activity on a subscription based site that's worth anything is on the premium boards.

But there is no argument that the hits here have been down ever since the move to Yuku. I hope it's just based on the baseball performance. We will see around August.

While I'm no fan of Gene, Rosebowl is about as good as it gets when it comes to MSU recurting. Not for him I would have been long gone from over there. Just my two cents.

Regardless he has kicked Rob's *** for a while now. When it comes to paying money I don't care how they get it as long as they get it.

I'm guessing it's more to do with the time of year. Hell, our Rivals site hasn't had thirty posts since last night. This is also the week a lot of students get out, which means they basically quit viewing/posting, and people are outside more, on top of the slow sports thing.

I joined Blitz because Rob was a personal friend.

Membership cancellation of that board is in progress. Overdue.

What's odd is Rivals national site is doing pretty much what BulldawgJunction is doing a smaller scale. Rivals seems to be hiring big name writers from mainstream outlets -- Dienhardt being the latest.

Harralson is a joke. He is a certifiable idiot. If you've ever spent much time around him, you know how big of a tool this guy really is. And those are his good points. From a business standpoint, he managed probably what is the single worst sight in the Rivals Network. It won't be long before someone at bulldog junction wakes up in a cold sweat and says "I did what?!!!!"

Our goal is to raise the bar for Mississippi State coverage. To set a new standard.

If we are able to push other sites to do more...provide more and better information...who wins? Mississippi State.

I am excited that the site has stirred the pot so to speak... you bet. Sometimes the only way we can get change for the better is to shake things up a little bit and that is what we are trying to do. If we can inject a little bit of creativity into the angles we use to cover the Bulldogs.... Mississippi State coverage will go to places fans have never seen before.

It is going to be a fun ride.

That could contribute some if a lot of people are under one of the internet nazi programs, such as websense.

I think it mostly has to do with baseball though. This is by far the worst baseball season we've had since before we hired Polk the first time. With nothing to really look forward to are talk about until August with respect to MState it's not a surprise that activity is going down.

When I first saw 7dust posting on BDJ back in April, JP being introduced, Rob disappearing, and with Michael/Shane's previous connection with Rob I had the same thought as you. I emailed 7 asking if that was the case but got no reply. I'm canceling my Blitz membership and joining BDJ. I guess I need to do it today to take advantage of the lower rate.</p>

and low and behold, they gave me three months for free? I subscribed to BulldawgJunction, but the main reason I was going to cancel the blitz is that they dont seem to put up too much information, and usually, news gets broken here long before its posted there. I guess I will have to call again in September and cancel then.

I went ahead and canceled because I knew I would forget plus I dont read it anymore because they dont put much content out that i dont already see in GP and BDJ.
