So just what was the real reason Ellis Johnson left?

We can only speculate but the fact is he wanted out and wanted out bad. No amount of bs that came from his press releases can cover that up. So did he leave just because he was tired of carrying the weight? See the writing on the wall? I mean it seems odd for him to stick around through the previous garbage years only to bolt after the liberty bowl. It wasn't just that we wanted to go home to SC, He took off for Ark first.

I wonder if Croom tried to put some more pressure on him through the year somehow and kept on patting mccorvey on the back. Johnson got pissed and then bolted. Now we have a mccorvey made over on defense (probably). If there is any grain of reality to that situation Croom should be sent packing right now. There is no freaking room for blind loyalty in the head office when things are going to **** (again).

It sure is fun to speculate isn't it?

straight to SC I can see. But his old lady didn't send him on a frantic job hunt to get out of a single town only to ok fayetteville arkansas. Then possibly spend a few years away from where it is speculated on where she really wanted to go.

there was a small rift in the staff and EJ was tired of carrying the offense...and last night is proof he saw the writing on the wall

because they went to Ark. first, just so she could get away...but then SC...home town opened up, and bam they were gone. Ellis would not have made a two step move like that, It's a potential career killer. The wife had to be involved... get out at all cost whenever, where ever.I think she just wanted out.

Then the fatass needs to sent on for more reasons than what's obvious. And he's bitching about no disipline on the field?? If he let the best coach on the staff leave because of bickering in the ranks then he cant run a sporting goods store much less a SEC football team. I swear someone should break in the bryan building and throw his **** out the window if he took sides against Johnson.

You know that could be an excuse to get rid of his *** this year. If there is conflict in the staff... then that would be a great excuse.

last night was just more proof that those two assclowns have no idea on how to run a competent college offense and he was right for leaving

EJ may or may not have had reasons related to Croom and the team. But his wife definitely wanted out during a certain timeframe that they lived up to.
