Nafoomer's are pissed that their new HD board isn't going to be as yuppied out as they'd like. Umph, I'd be glad to be getting one at all.

Of course I could see our board being as big as the entire structure that supports our current board - with the ads all remaining the same size, only displayed in HD instead of back-lit plastic.

over there because of the chinese junk that is the low bidder for a board and product that they will be getting. Make no mistake about it, they are spending a lot of dough...over 5 million, but it is with them taking the low bidder, way low, that they are upset about...not to mention they already have dak boards.

Ours will look just like auburns for the most part unless we do the same thing that UM did....i dont think we will....Theirs is big and at first glance will look pretty good but the LED is what it is about and theres will be low quality even compared to an older one IF they even get what they are said to be getting

Oh yeah, it wont be HD either...neither is southerns although they were/are told it is/was

Exactly, state bidding (and private bidding) isn't tied directly to the lowest bid. Allowances are made for quality, time, etc...

There are ways around taking the lowest bidder. With most contracts the winner of the bid is determined before the contract even goes out. You just have to know how to work it to your favor.

Exactly, but if you choose to go with someone other than the low bidder, you better be able to back it up with a concrete reason for choosing another company.
