Selective Service started the draft back up in 1980 after about 5 years of not having it at all. Starting again in 1980 you had to sign up when you turned 18. I signed up for it on my 18th birthday in 1980 at the post office and my mom cried but fortunately ( I guess?) I never got the call. They wouldn't have my decrepit bones today. Thanks to those that did serve though, remember them tomorrow.
