Yeah, he's not going to. I wish he would, but I'm guessing he views it as a bigger risk to winning out than keeping him on staff. This D, just like with Muschamp, only looks good when they're creating turnovers. You can't rely on TOs alone to stop offenses. Beamer's interview during the game was pretty critical of the D. Don't tackle well, don't cover well, same old story. I believe had we lots, and the bowl taken off the table, he would have pulled the trigger. You can tell he's done with this D.
I heard from a good source it was a sore vajayjay. Maybe went to the beach and got some sand up in there or something?? But timing is a bit peculiar, don't you think?? Also sounds very familiar.
To be fair, OU hired Venables that knew defense. There was NO WAY he was going to keep that guy. I'm afraid that OU may be a couple of years away from another National Championship. Looks like he is building something there.
