Nasri connects early for the Gunners. The long march to May is underway. I think the Blues take the title from the Red Devils.

The left side (Nasri and Clichy) was excellent for the Arse today.
Ade looked to be trying to do too much to score so the fans wouldn't boo.
And Eboue has never met a 35 yard shot he didn't like.

But couple a win with a Spurs loss and its a nice way to start the weekend.

Go Gunners!

I say: 1. Chelski 2. Liverpool 3. Man U 4. Arsenal ........and my wild card team (team that i think will do well but I'm too big of a puss to pick them) is Portsmouth. I'm glad there is interest in the EPL on this board. I'm tired of talking about our offense.

nasri looks good, not to mention that i think he shot more that match than hleb did the whole of last year. some good movement, trouble finishing, little shaky on defense. same ol' arsenal. though, honestly, when you lose a player like cesc, that has to hurt any team - just look how he changed the games for spain in euro 2008. it was pretty obvious that ade was trying too hard. at least he was trying. theo was disturbingly a non-factor. eboue was actually half-decent, though why his shots are always 30 yards wide is beyond me. that about sums up the high points, i think. we all know we need a holding midfielder. let's freaking sign one already.

here's to chelsea and man u going down today.

1. Man U (aGAIN!)
2. Arsenal
3. Chelsea
4. You'll Never Walk Alone...

I realize I'm drinking the Kool-Aid picking Arsenal that high - and the way Chelsea blew out a decent Portsmouth squad today gives me pause. But, I just can't cheer for the Roman Abramovich Allstars, predict them to win something or anything else positive. I loathe that club. Yet another reason not to buy gas - because it will indirectly fund Chelsea.

My darkhorse will be Aston Villa. They were pretty solid last year and adding Friedel has to mean a few more points in the standings for them.

I hate them. They are like the Yankees to me. They just buy a bunch of superstars and cross their fingers. Their players for the most part are pretty easy to hate also. John Terry is a prick, Lampard is my least favorite player in the EPL (whiner), Drogba is a whiner and a 50% performer. I do like Essien, I wish he would go to a club i could pull for. I cant believe the railing they gave portsmouth.....guess my prediction is wrong already.

Keep an eye out for Brad Guzan. He just turned 24 and is the latest in the line of great goalkeepers America has produced. </p>

I think Brad Guzan is a bust......he's looked lost in every game he's played for the US. If you guys got up to see any of the US olympic games you will know what I'm talking about. Granted, the US defense isnt a force to be reckoned with, but I still think this guy needs alot of work. Some experience over in Europe cant hurt, but i dont see him stealing Tim Howard's job anytime soon.

I haven't seen Guzan play enough to give an informed opinion, but the thing to remember about GK is that they usually don't hit their prime until their late 20's and even early 30's, so he's still very young in terms of goalkeepers. He's got plenty of time to learn.

I think the best thing for him is to probably be the No. 2 and learn a thing or two from Friedel - maybe play some league cup games or EPL games against bad teams.

1. Chelski (how the didn't win the CL is puzzling)
2. Liverpool (Hello Robbie Keane)
3. ManU (unless they land Berbatov- Ronaldo is unhappy and won't be as productive)
4. Arsenal (so young again)

Sunderland will finish in the top half under Roy Keane.

Edit- ManU played without Tevez and with a weakened Rooney vs. Newcastle (who is still without Michael Owen.)
