Just finished watching the second half of Chivas vs. LA Galaxy. Very exciting 1-1 draw. Late in the game saw a lot of fast paced wide open play that saw the teams alternate good scoring chances every 30 seconds to 1 minute. Chivas goalie Brad Guzan made an excellent save in stoppage time to preserve the draw. Speculation is he may be headed to Aston Villa very soon.

How can the Galaxy have Beckham, the supposed leader of the US team in Donovan, and the leading scorer in MLS in Buddle and still only be 6-6-4? I guess the obvious answer is they've given up more goals than any other team in MLS.

yeah, the Galaxy's defense is atrocious. Supposedly there are close to signing some South American (Argentinian, I think) centerback to shore things up when the transfer window opens.

season starts only five weeks from tomorrow. and wouldn't you know, i'm flying OUT of london on the 15th.
