Yep, did not see that coming. The box score said Kat Carter, the pitcher, was 5-0 for Jax State. They play Auburn at 3.

Yeah, it wasn’t broadcast, but I was following the stat tracker. She flung a 1-hitter for a big chunk of the game and there was just “1-2 struck out looking” one after another.

It's probably not really that bad of a loss. CUSA has been a top 10 conference in RPI the last few years. Good chance that it ends up being Q2, although obviously it's still really early.

Alabama struggled with them yesterday. This team is going to get beat up come conference play IMO. They aren't as good as last year.

Maybe. They’re 9-4 with losses to Jacksonville, North Florida, James Madison, and Alabama. Seems like a bad loss in the moment, but may not be in retrospect.

It's an athletic team with very little power, IF defense is a big question mark, decent pitching. Probably a regional team but on the road at a tough spot. I can live with that after losing a lot from last season, it's a little bit of a rebuild, but Ricketts and crew are a good staff.
