well, based on the Athletic Departments staff directory he is the CEO for an organization of over 300 full time employees with 34 separate departments and I assume at least 30+ direct reports. The above includes 15 employees of the Bulldog Club. The largest department is football with 45+ employees, Sports Medicine 28, and Admin with 25. The Fan Experience (are they earning their pay?) group has 9 people which is more than baseball's 7. Men's basketball sits with 9 but women's has 11. The smallest department: Human Resources with 1. A lot of people, a lot of moving parts. Source: Hailstate web site. Of course, the specifies of each employee's employment is unknown. Is this an appropriate size for a SEC schools Athletic Department? Is it fat, lean or just right. Don't know.

How big is his pay roll? The company I work for has 17 billion in assets, 650 employees and 3800 agents. One guy at the top. He gets it done and probably makes a lot of money doing it. If Selmon can't get it done and have winning athletic teams he needs to be fired.
