a$$ because he got RP's response to the hire? He knew that Polk was going to blast off, and he did what any good reporter should do, and that is ask the tough questions. The "Icon" was just so pissed off that he could not control himself, so that's his problem not KV's or Ellis'. The "God of Amateur Baseball" showed exactly what he is all about, and that is himself pure and simple. There have been a lot of criticism of RP, but someone posted (only on SPS) that his reason for returning to MSU was to go after the NCAA. That in itself shows how he feels about MSU, and more about his own agenda.
When he returned from Georgia, and we faced them that year or maybe the next, Jim Ellis was doing the post game interview (I think we lost that night or maybe the series), and all Polk did was talk about the kids on the Georgia squad that he had recruited and signed, all impact players of course. So quick to pat himself on the back whenever he had the opportunity, and always blame scholarship shortages/NCAA for his shortcomings. Great coach at one time, that is trying successfully to ruin the legacy that he created over the years. Sad, just sad.
