Something that has been bothering me

May not be popular, but I want to speak my mind for a moment. And yes, I posted something very similar on the TOS, but I figure the more eyeballs the better.

The amount of drinking and driving that goes on after games is really, really bad. I know when you’re tailgating it feels like literally everyone is drinking - you can even walk around in public drinking beers in front of cops.

But leaving the tailgate without a DD or at least someone who stopped hours ago is just wrong. Everyone knows the consequences - you could get hurt, lose your job, lose your license, or accidentally kill an innocent person.

Really looking forward to the game Saturday - will be a massive party for sure. Please use the next couple of days to come up with a plan for an appropriate driver.

And to my tailgating neighbors in the fairgrounds, if we see y’all ride off in such a state again - I’m notifying the highway patrol straightaway. Not going to have your bad decision weighing on my conscience.

Also if anyone is willing to repost this on the TIF - I'd appreciate it.

this is why I get blackout drunk and watch the games at Frankie’s fun park, no one gets hurt when you’re drunk driving a go kart alone in the darkness.

This is a daily, widespread problem and is certainly more highly concentrated on game days and I agree something needs to be done about the obvious number of intoxicated people driving post-game. If a checkpoint were set up around the stadium it would create chaos, but SCHP's job is to making driving safe for all and would certainly be an incentive for a designated driver.
In the same topic, cell phone driving is just as bad. Several times a day every day I have to swerve to avoid a car crossing over the line into my lane, many head on, with what has to be people distracted by a cell phones and often confirmed so when pulling up beside these cars.
