I'll be forever grateful for what Jake Mangum did for this program. Could not be more happy for him to finally get his big league call and gametime.
I fully believe that his time at MSU and what he did for our program was a critical piece of winning that national championship, even though he was not on the team who finally won it. If not for the success and mentality he brought to the program in the years leading up to 2021, we would not have been in that position. You have to have the grit and mentality for multiple years before you figure out how to navigate Omaha and win it. Many many great teams end up losing and going home early. Navigating Omaha was something Jake (and Co.) taught our program the years leading up to 2021. I felt that entire season that we had something special, just like the years leading up to it.
