My Sister never prepared a story that could be seen, read or heard by anyone. And now, she has left her life behind.

As I will always feel that someone - no, everyone who has been here should be recognized. I hope you will allow me a short note,
as an obit, as I try to write about a sister as part of a family, and leave memories of our pasts to the passage of time.

Mrs. Linda Roegge of Prescott, AZ (originally of Abington, PA) left her life in this World this past Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
(1944 -2024) She served admirably for United Airlines from Chicago, IL flying around the World putting up with many passengers.
My sister was able to visit so many places over years of flying, that many of us would love to see. Her favorite time was spent
telling us that she was able to escape the eastern US and love the west as a resident for many years.

She was preceded in Death by her husband Tom just two weeks prior after 54 years of wedded bliss. She wanted to be with Him.
She is survived by her older brother - Ronald of Naples, FL and his family.
May my Sister - Rest in Peace.

There’s a door that never closes, though it opens but one way –
It’s the door that leads to Heaven at the end of life’s long day.
It’s the threshold of forever where the heart is always glad,
It’s a respite for the weary, and a comfort for the sad.
It’s the door to peace and healing, and the door to joy and grace
Where the Master greets each guest by name, and with a warm embrace.
And the loved ones who pass through into the light that’s shining there
Find a sweet and perfect home within our Father’s loving care.'

So sad and sorry to hear; condolences to your family and friends. I do hope in time you are able to reflect fondly on her well lived life and that there are more smiles than tears.

Sometimes it’s quite difficult to respond to something written as heartfelt as your words. This is one of those times. I truly feel for you with the loss of your sister, and coming so soon after your brother-in-law passed away. It tries the soul. I know this from my own personal experience, the sense of permanent loss. Sadly, many times this past year or so I have passed along to friends and families of friends, words from an ancient poet that I include here.

To quote, “…….and even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God." Let us pray that you all find such wisdom. God Bless
