Live in NY but about 60 miles north of NYC. Before the pandemic my son spent a great deal of time with his job in NYC. I would frequently take the train to Grand Central Station to have dinner with him. Police and military everywhere in the station....but just masses of humanity coming and going. Scary thought.

Most likely he had 15-16 round magazines and when he swapped he jammed it and ran.

Wouldn't that be terrorism? Is there a reason we wouldn’t call terrorism, terrorism? If we can't call it terrorism, is there really any hope of preventing it?

For whatever reason the local and state officials refused to call it that at first. Even more mind boggling were news outlets editing the description of the suspect while he was on the loose.

So does my daughter, a block from McCarren Park. She was in class in the city (NYU) during shooting.
