IMO, gotta prove it yet. We've done what we were supposed to do with weaker competition, so that's a good thing. But if we crap the bed against good comp, then that lofty ranking is fools gold. I'm cautiously optimistic right now, with a side-order of gun-shy.
Our "soft" opening schedule was arguably harder than most, if not all, of the SEC and we did very well. I'm concerned about the inconsistency in our starting pitching, but we look better and deeper than we have in years. Of course, it's still too early to tell about us or anyone. Georgia isn't ranked but they're hot and beating them at home isn't going to be easy. If we can get out of there with two W's, we'll be golden.
IMO, we should throw our best on Friday nights. That Friday night win increases our chances of taking the series.
