South Carolina starts the 18 round fight against the conference. Going to be rocky with some ups and downs. Need this win badly today.

This team is fun to watch!! Lots of good parts playing well together. Meechie is special!! Think Lamont is going to get it done here! Still probably a good many L’s to come but don’t think we will be out efforted. We could have sealed it at the free throw line but didn’t- that would have cost us sometimes.

During the 20 min I watched while the two teams traded tie scores the Bulldogs looked like the better team. Gamecocks ball handling looked pretty sloppy and they took a lot of shots that weren't close to going in. I guess they must have tightened things up a lot later in the game, because I didn't see that one ending with a win! Nice win.

This team is multi-dimensional and not reliant on 1 or 2 players for offense, and they play really good, pressure defense. I see some resemblance to Frank's final four team in the make-up of this group if the 3-point shooting is consistently good. I'm not saying they are going to the dance, but they do play well together.

I was able to make it to the game today and the crowd was awesome. Its been a while since I have seen a crowd like that at a men's game! This is a good team we beat today. Great win. The next 2 will be tough.

This team is good. Love how Meechie has progressed. CMB is really talented. I thought we’d be improved, but 13-1 is way beyond what I expected. Glad Paris is proving all the haters wrong!!
There were some struggles early on and some boneheaded turnovers but for the most part this team plays clean and smart. I do think a lot of that is a credit to coaching. It certainly doesn't hurt to have all of that experience on the court.

What totally blew my mind was when I believe the announcers were talking about Meechie and they mentioned he is shooting his threes better at this point than at any other time in his career. When was the last time you heard anything like that about a Gamecock player in the last decade?

Agreed. It would be nice to have him back next year for sure.

Paris is making believers out of lots of previous skeptics.
An actual coach, not a screamer. I actually saw where UMass was on TV today, so I flipped over and watched a few minutes. Now I know where Hankins – Sanford went. He is getting to experience the Frank Martin dog cussing minute by minute. So glad Frank is there now.

I recall in high school, playing in football for a Lamont Paris type of coach, demanding but encouraging. He left for another job. He was replaced by a Frank Martin type coach, always hollering, yelling and demeaning of players. I, and others would try to run through a brick wall, for the first coach. Not so for his replacement.
