So where are all the malcontents on the school level of transfers? We got an Alabama defensive lineman and an Oklahoma offensive lineman. Eerily I hear nothing but crickets. You can better believe if the D lineman came from Western Kentucky we would hear all this crap.

Surely you understand the difference, right?

I understand the difference, and how high school players grow and develop the first few years in college. Many kids are way under recruited and many kids are way over recruited. Do you wanna know why it took Jordan Burch so long to catch up? It’s because he played against inferior competition in high school so when you’re that big and fast you stand out. When you get into college, everyone’s big and fast.

My oldest son wrestled 189 in HS. He was a region champ. He looked tall and gangly. Weighed about 182 so was constantly out sized. By his sophomore year in college, he looked like an NFL linebacker.

So far, our coaches have nailed portal transfers correctly. So I will trust them on these guys until I see different.

It's a bit of a stretch to say they have "nailed" it. They have made some nice pickups in the previous 2 cycles.

Since the coaches have "nailed" the portal, I guess there is no excuse for not winning at least 8 games next season?

I understand the difference,

Good. Then you understand why someone would be happier with Alabama cast offs more than division 2 players, etc.

And I apologize for not commenting on the signing fast enough for your liking.

I'm not convinced a player that's been at Bama for 3 years and has not recorded a single stat is any better than a very productive player at a lower level. It may surprise some people, but Bama misses on players as well. I hope it's the case that they just had so many elite DL that he just needed an opportunity to shine. Happy we got him, just like I'm happy we got the CLT LB.

I understand.

My opinion though, is I place more faith in a player recruited by and playing for Alabama more than CLT.

It’s okay…..I am sure your speed will increase when we get a transfer from Furman.

If it helps you to pretend that, go for it.

It's better than arguing some G5 school being a better source of talent than Alabama.
