When it looks too good to be true, it is. Load up on Auburn.
Auburn is unbeatable in their arena. Nobody is even playing them close. They will probably blow out Kentucky on Saturday, too.
There are two schools in our conference where basketball players literally go to play for the head coach. Auburn and Tennessee. Let either of this coaches leave and watch the tumble their programs take. And even Oates at Bama may be becoming one of those coaches who if he leaves the program will tumble.
SC is a good team but they win with smoke and mirrors a little bit. They have a phenomenal win in Knoxville where they played amazing defense that night but otherwise their resume is pretty ho-hum. Their strength of schedule is 116, and the nonconference portion of it is 294. Both of those numbers are the worst in the SEC by a significant margin.
Yeah, I look for them to fall back down to earth the last third of the season. The remainder of their games are very tough. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them lose five of their last seven games.
