John elway could not be productive behind our line.I suspect that improved QB play will contribute a good bit to cleaning up the protection issues.
At least you were somewhat original in not using Peyton Manning.John elway could not be productive behind our line.
Yes that also didn’t help. Muschamp put us back 5-10 yearsAt least you were somewhat original in not using Peyton Manning.
We had protection issues but anyone could see that it was greatly exacerbated by poor QB play. Our own QBs attested to that.
ThisThey have been saying this for almost a decade…… we’ll see in the new season
He probably also knew all the protection schemes inside & out.I don't remember the O line giving up sacks so much when Connor Shaw was the quarterback because he would pull it down and was a threat to run.
Seriously. A QB struggling to make the right read or find a receiver is a lot more likely to get hurried or sacked. And one of our QBs last year might have worn concrete boots as slow as he was. Likewise, defenses knew they could load the box to snuff out the run, too. All of this should improve. And that will make the line look better, too.I suspect that improved QB play will contribute a good bit to cleaning up the protection issues.
Gawd, why drag Phil Petty into this.At least you were somewhat original in not using Peyton Manning.
