Expect a Motion to Quash and for Protective Order. Or as Goat would put it, a Motion to Squash.

Quash sounds like that racquet sport pansies play. Definitely should go with motion to squash so you don’t sound like a pansy.

Shad has done a lot more work than his predecessors, but he’s barely making a dent.

Shad goes after the easiest to reach low hanging fruit. Period. Because that's what he was told to do by the people (person) that put him where he is. The real corruption in MS is at the county Board of Supervisor and State Legislature level. Lot more at state agencies, but those two mentioned is a cesspool of corruption. Allegedly.

I doubt its as malicious as you make it out to be. Shad is just like any big city prosecutor that wants to climb the ladder. He goes after the low hanging fruit because it pads his resume. Each victory is marketing PR for his future campaigns, while losses give future opponents ammo against him.

Agreed, it rarely is. Hot takers just like to blame somebody for something.

You can add a lot of School District Offices to that list as well.

You are correct about Shad. This is why he turned prosecution of these cases over to Hinds Co. DA. They are the most understaffed, overworked and under budgeted DA in the state therefore they have the greatest chance of failure which is exactly what the power brokers want. If Shad was really interested in getting convictions he would have gone to the Feds and their near unlimited resources but that may expose other power brokers in this scam which they don't want. I'd take a long close look at all those who received these illicit funds and have a look at who's political campaigns they donated money to. Follow the money.

It doesn't help his case that, while he's "taking down" the smaller corruption cases, he's on Twitter running for governor and testing his campaign angles.
