Let me preface this by saying, while plausible (and came from a somewhat reliable source), I just don't believe it. It just seems too unrealistic. But here goes:

I heard on Friday night that Keenum, Byrne, and Slive were taking a trip to NCAA headquarters. They were going with an ultimatum. They were going to give the NCAA three days to make a decision on Sidney. If, by the third day, they had not complied, MSU, SEC, and the Sidney family were all going to file suits.

Of course, if this were true, we should have heard something about it(since it has been three days). Which we haven't.

Anyways, as far as ridiculous rumors, I thought I would share this one.

edit: also, if by some stretch of the imagination this has already be discussed (germans), then just let this thread die.

Also, no way in hell Byrne or Slive get involved in anything like this at all. I could possibly see Jackson doing something like that though.

but I'll sell and sell again and sell some of yours on the "ultimatum" ********. More likely would be a trip in the nature of lobbying someone higher up the food chain. Keenum is a plus-plus politico.

Byrne parachuted onto the top of the NCAA building and Slive and Keenum had to get "Don't call me Shirley" Rumack to talk them through the landing.

would want to file suit. And absolutely no way in hell Keenum would permit it even if I were wrong about Byrne. Me being wrong twice in the same post? 0.00% chance.

The University filing a suit against the NCAA over the elibility of one recruit would be monumental stupidity.

However, I do know Byrne is taking some action and not just watching this **** fail to unfold. Now I have no idea what that action is or really any speculation as to what it might be, but this is straight from the horse's mouth.
