I heard on local sports talk radio in Jackson today that the 1.2 million that Stans is getting makes him the 4th highest paid coach in the SEC. I had no idea he would be in the top half.

Its about time that we give our best coach the amount he deserves. He is a hell of a hard worker and does wonders every year. He needs more success in the tournament and I hope it will come but we never have to believe we can't compete with the big boys in the SEC in basketball because he has proven that we can year in and year out.

I can't think of any others beneath him I'd rather have. He is worth every penny we pay him. How much would Croom get if he won as many division titles as Stans?

we continue to flop in the post season year in year out. But if i made a big deal about our basketball shortcomings then i would definitely put more emphasis on the baseball teams shortcomings.. If i had to complain about basketball team not advancing then surely i would have lost my grip on reality due to baseball not ever doing what it was capable of doing and that was win a CWS championship. If Stans cracks the coaching barrier that keeps us out of the sweet 16 one of these years then Ill believe our basketball has a real shot at proving itself to the nation like it did under Richard Williams run to the Final 4.

I'm satisfied with winning thats why i am glad we have Stansbury. (even though if we kept pace with the new agenda we would be demanding 25-6 records and annual sweet 16 births with all the success of the past)

Now that he has his job secured with the new contract he does need to step it up I'll admit. When basketball season rolls around I am a huge critic of him especially when our team plays half *** basketball even when they could easily be slamming the door the opponent. If his coaching improved we could set huge goals for our program each year. But as long as he keeps our team in and out of the top 25 like he had us doing consistently for a stretch this decade is as long as i'll be a solid supporter of him being our coach.
