so we have 4 red-shirts this year: Bailey, Beckham, Bolen (yes he is redshirting) and Smith. With all we are losing this year that should help with depth next year. Has Bolen shown enough in practice that they think he can contribute down the line? I remember him being pretty good in high school (granted he didn't have a lot of competition) but wonder if he could give us Benock type production off the bench.

From what I've been told Bolen is redshirting then transfering to MC or USM.

he should have transferred before the year. He will have to sit out another year if he goes to USM.

that allows you to transfer without sitting out if you have graduated? Maybe he is doing that. I don't think he will ever be a starter but I figured he could contribute with a few minutes when needed without killing us. I hate to lose him if true.

The only thing Bolen was going to contribute to our team is his GPA.

The Clemson backup QB is going to use it when he transfers at the end of the spring sememster. Because he redshirted and will graduate in 3 years, he'll still have 2 more years to play at his new school.
