I also noticed the old FoodMax building is now a Miskelly's Furniture store (but I didn't get a pic).
I'll be here another night if anyone knows of some other project they'd like me to snap a picture of.

Duff center is the new building that replaced McCarthy.

I walked around Perry yesterday. Moes and Subway are gone. Also construction is the north side and the west side of the building.

Azalea is going to look good on the corner and complement Old Main. That whole north dorm area looks so much better than it did in the 80s-90s.

What is the Duff Center?
New academic building where the tin gym used to be.

Subway and Bento Sushi are back in the old Dairy Science Building, where the florist and The Reflector have been located for last several years

State Fountain Bakery will be coming back to
It’s original location on north side of Perry, along with Moe’s.

Nice to see bike lanes going in on campus. Have they added them to a lot of roads? Had e-bikes been as prevalent/cheap when I was in school 15+ years ago, I don’t think I would have ever driven. You can basically get to anywhere on campus in 5 minutes.

The very edge is Starkville aka Walmart would still only be 4-5 mile from campus, and that’s a 15-30 min ride depending on how direct of a route you could take. An actual separated bike path that runs parallel to 12 from campus to Walmart would make any trip in the city easy by bike.

If the city can ever get control of the abandoned rail line between Blutos and Hwy 12, that would be a game changer. It will take many years to get it developed, but having that much walkable area would create a lot of opportunities.

So the Landing will be the closest bar to campus now?

Saying you walked home from the Landing last night had an entirely different vibe 35-40 years ago.
In the spirit of authentic history, what should they have in the new spot for "The Landing" that carries forward the iconic tradition of times of old?

I guess it depends on what you consider to be "campus".
StaggerIn is located in the College View development which is technically a part of campus.
The Mill development is also university property located south of the Cotton District and is directly adjacent to Mugshots.

You can NOT ride electric scooters on campus. I wonder if E bikes would be allowed.

There are many, many electric scooters on campus daily. Most look to be privately owned and not the ride share ones. They did kick them off after a short trial but now they are everywhere again. I don't see as many electric bikes but there are some

I'm thinking University is a lot navigate on foot from the heart of campus than College View, but I've never actually walked that direction after a game, while I have walked to the old StaggerIn location.
