Game 3 tonight. Do we go up 3-0, or do the Ducks try to make it a series? To me, it's crucial to win the first game on home ice. I also think we need to get up 3-0 and have a chance of putting the series away early. Get some time to rest up before facing the Wings/Preds winner, which means the Wings.

Gigure(sp) will bounce back. Dallas' arena isn't all that intimidating and the Ducks are due to bounce back. The Stars probably win in 6.

the way I see it. Giguere is too good to give up some of the goals he has so far. He's due for a shutout-type game and the Ducks are generally due for big night. I see them winning and making this a series at 2-1. Stars in 6 is my guess, too.

Two words so far in game 3...

NIGHTMARE START

I just can't get comfortable with this team until I see them lining up for the post series handshake... and I agree with Flab, Giguere can't play like this all series... he'll come back...

Too little, too late tonight. Looks like a long series. Tomorrow night is big. Need to get a win on home ice and regain some momentum before having to go back to Anaheim.

Here's a question... if the Stars DO win this series... what would you rather have happen?

Colorado upsets Minnesota, the Sharks beat the Flames and Dallas gets San Jose? or...
The seeds hold up, and Dallas gets the Red Wings?

There are other scenarios, obviously, but I see those as the two most likely...

Not since the Red Wings ended Dallas's hopes in....1998 I think it was..have the Stars-Wings matched up in the post season. I still want revenge for that. The Stars played them well, but Yzerman was the energizer freaking bunny out there.

To quote Ric Flair: "To be the man, you gotta beat the man." The Wings are the man. Gonna have to play them at some point, might as well do it early. Plus, I'm like Flab. Revenge for the last time they knocked us out of the playoffs would be nice.

I know the feeling...I think that was the same year that the Red Wings beat the Flyers in the finals. Ever since then I've wanted revenge on Detroit. I can remember all the way back to when Detroit had the Russian 5 or whatever it was...they were always a team that was so damn good I just had to hate them.

Thanks to Danny Briere my Flyers have a 2-1 lead over Washington right now, which is nice since it means we took one game on their home ice. Hopefully we can have a clean sweep of them at home and finish off this series quickly, but I get the feeling the Caps are going to really turn it up going forward. My guess is Flyers in 6 games. We'll see...

Ha - back then Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas had this guy that would call in with a Russian accent and talk smack. He even had the background sounds of a submarine sonar going.

I'm with you guys, I want the Wings too, but there's part of me that wants the Sharks first... just becuase I hate them almost as much as Detroit and they have Jeremy Roenick... I would rather get Detroit in the West finals...

I really think tomorrow night is must win for Dallas... even though it would only be 2-2, we would be in serious trouble... get it to 3-1, and I think it's over...

Once they got rid of Bryan Marchment, there wasn't much left to hate. Except that the Stars were stupid enough to let go of Scott Thornton who promptly went to the Sharks and thrived.
