I’m not going to argue on how to enforce it or how to make it stick, but supposedly Missouri has passed legislation allowing HS player to get NIL only if they commit to in state schools.

I’m sure some considerate unconstitutional, but it’s pretty smart if you can get it work without lawyers and the media picking it apart. Good for Missouri. I wonder if we are forward thinking enough to do the same. Supposedly Flarda is working on something similar.

Highly doubt this is even remotely legal. How can a state restrict you from making money in another state? Maybe I’m not understanding this but I don’t think it makes much sense. Is the point to keep Missouri kids in state? If so, what if every state follows? Does Missouri think they can sustain a program on just in state players?

Yeah. No way this survives a court challenge. But why bother challenging it? Just commit to the in-state school, collect your NIL, and then sign wherever you want to.

I doubt that makes it. You would think they would just put 100% state tax on all NIL received by anyone who goes to an out of state college.

My understanding is that you actually can’t collect until the NLI is signed. The design is good, but I think it will eventually get torn apart.

I think every bit of it gets torn apart in the next 10 years. What I see and believe is democrats going against their belief in equality. They’re all about equal pay, kumbya ******** and this goes against that. Once everyone realizes the fantasy is just that a fantasy and it doesn’t work, you’re going to see a lot of dumbasses scramble to put it back the way it was before there is no more. There’s a distinction between college and professional and there’s a reason for it. Hopefully it blows up in their face.🖕
