Can't be more playing time.
Not impressive enough to have teams bidding for his services.
So, why I ask
I think others were beginning to pass him by. When we went to 3-3-5, Bam became much more of a factor. Debo had a great year. Willis progressed late in the year too. Factor in Pup with another year to develop, Kaba coming back, and Wendell Gregory and Fred Johnson coming in and Stone is all of a sudden the least athletic guy in a crowded LB room.

Could mean one of two things: either White coming back or he’s being replaced by another 3-3-5 guy (which Arnette is known for BTW).

Football in general for me is getting hard to watch these days.. With college players jumping from team to team for more NIL, the NFL moving games all over the spectrum and the money they keep trying to suck out of the everyday fan just makes difficult to watch. I’m on the verge of turning it off.

He was a good LB who improved greatly from year 1 to 2. Upside was bright. He was an actual football player. Hate to lose him but like them all…..c ya. You don’t want to be here, then adios.
Improved, but still slow and out of position frequently.

We lose to Jacksonville St without him. Fact.
That was one of the worst games he played. He was a BIG reason we were even in that position at the end of the game. Bottom line is, Debo and Bam are both better than him. That leaves one spot for him, Kaba, Pup, Willis, Johnson, and Gregory. Very likely he was losing that starting spot anyway.

I think where he winds up will be telling!

We were very fortunate to finish as a 5-win team last season. We had 3 P5 wins, one of which was Vandy. There aren’t too many players from last year’s team that I’d be too upset about losing.

While there is some truth in this line of thinking, I'm not sure a coach going into year 4 wants or needs to be in the position of having starters leaving his program. Having to replace players with experience with new talent isn't exactly a recipe for winning many games.
