Story behind U of Arkansas Pineapple?

I have to buy a women's Arkansas shirt for a gift and came across this this. I obviously chuckled at first since its a pineapple and then wondered what the context is.
Is there some actual story behind a pineapple and football or is this tshirt under $8 because its just dumb?
