How Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson will challenge Penn State football
A unique challenge awaits Penn State football in the form of Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson in Saturday's Outback Bowl contest.
key will be stopping him running as well as their RBs. We need to get Jefferson to the ground with the first tackler. He really hurt people during the year when he got lose down the field. Tackling in the front 7 with minimal YAC will be key. Assuming TCF opts out, we are down 7 players on DEF from the start of the season. If we had the current defense against Wisconsin and Auburn, it would likely have been a different type of game.Jefferson will be challenged since no one knows who is playing for Penn State.
Well, UCLA set the bar low enough to cancel. At this point the most merciful thing to happen would likely be a Covid cancellation as much of the starting PSU team didn’t want to play in the bowl.
I’m also surprised Arkansas isn’t favored by much more. The PSU D is pretty much all second and third string. With Dotson out that’s a huge chunk of the PSU offense that will be missing (especially in key situations).
I can see the board fight on Saturday already. Complaints about Franklin’s coaching and (likely) losing to another low level SEC team like Kentucky, while the Franklin defenders say it’s just consider it a scrimmage and PSU didn’t have their full team playing so you really can’t count this game against Franklin, etc.
Let the fun begin!![]()
Very true. The 4 hour notice was pathetic.Well, UCLA set the bar low enough to cancel.
