Great news! CB's with great length that can cover are a luxury in today's game.

I'm sure Porter wants to clean up the penalties as much as we fans want him to, so we should be looking forward to a stellar year from JP Jr in 2022.

Are repeated holding and pass interference infractions considered "explosive plays"?

I felt like at a point they were jut easy calls for the officials to make because he already had the reputation.
He earned quite a few penalties but he also had more than his share that were non deserving. Saying other defensive backs mug some of our receivers and not get called and Porter hand fighting with his and getting called happened quite a bit

Agreed. The hand fighting is an NFL technique that the amateur college refs just don’t get and call WAY too much.

Put Porter in a Bama jersey and he's first round this year. Seems to me our kids are getting advised to come back if they aren't guaranteed high picks.

At least he had the luxury of being able to discuss the matter with some relatives with real NFL experience. :)

Brooks isn't a physical specimen. He's not going to wow at the Combine. He's also a 5th year guy vs JPJ being a 3rd. He's got his degree; sounds like JPJ doesn't yet.

Brooks probably isn't working his way any higher in the draft.

Just a take.
