Three takeaways from Penn State basketball's narrow loss to No. 3 Purdue
Penn State Nittany Lions basketball kept it close, but ultimately lost to No. 3 Purdue at the Bryce Jordan Center Saturday afternoon.
He must have a favorable impression of PSU. Really glad we didn't get blown out as often happens at home vs. ranked teams in January.Pomeroy's projection nailed the score exactly today.
Coming into today, they were 5th, we were 72nd.He must have a favorable impression of PSU. Really glad we didn't get blown out as often happens at home vs. ranked teams in January.
Agree...but Harrah also missed two very important block out chances in the last 2 minutes. Huge...Purdue scored 5 points on those 2 possessions. We were in it, thought we might pull out the W. Harrar did a great job, got Edy into foul trouble and thus the 7'4" guy was not a big factor. We have a pretty nice scoring tandem in Lundy and Pickett. Need more out of Sessoms to win big ones like this.
For all the hype the gave Ivey, we held him in check most of the game, save a couple 3s late.
That foul they called on Harrar late in the game against Williams was total BS. They were bodying a lot, but when the shot went up there was no contact.
I think we can be very competitive with anyone in this conference.
Tough to blame JH, Williams is a stud and ball doesn't always bounce towards your blackout angle.Agree...but Harrah also missed two very important block out chances in the last 2 minutes. Huge...Purdue scored 5 points on those 2 possessions.
Agree 100% on that foul call. Harrar gets bumped back twice by a Williams shoulder then Williams fades away while shooting that little jump hook. This play was THE turning point in the game. Cannot believe the BTN announcers totally ignored it. It was great defense by Harrar, there's nothing else he could have done.We were in it, thought we might pull out the W.
