Strength of Schedule Counts! Look at ACC

The ACC is abysmal in the bowls. Only qualified because they reached 6 wins by beating each other. Clemson and SMU did not belong in the playoffs. Clemson ranked over 50 and SMU was over 70 in SOS ranking. The winner and runner up in a weak conference should not get an automatic bid; particularly when there are only 12 spots.

Been shouting myself to do away with automatic bids!! A guy can dream, but I definitely won’t hold my breath.

Makes sense to get rid of automatic bids and conference championship games and broaden the number of CFP spots but $$$$$ rule.
Broader CFP seems to make $$$$$ sense to me by following the CBB Tourney model.
