(6) Creighton (24-12)-(5) SDSU (30-6), tip 2:20.

(5) Miami, FL (28-7)-(2) Texas (29-8), tip scheduled for 5:05.

SDSU is one of the most physically imposing teams I’ve seen this year. Creighton has a fight in front of them.

I’ll be supporting Creighton. I’m agnostic about the second game, it seems.

I'm getting filled up with BB. One team is allowed to keep mugging the other with very few fouls called. And when they run face first into someone's elbow, the stationary person gets a flagrant foul.

Sheesh.

There is nothing more painful in sports than the last minute or so of a basketball game. They should limit the number of timeouts in the final 1 min and no back to back TO calls allowed.
Each team should only get two timeouts per half, that would solve the problem. They already get four media timeouts per half, that’s plenty. Only giving them two would stop the timeouts to save possession in the first half or when there’s still plenty of time left in the game, which I hate. It would also cut down on all the timeouts at the end.

I’m not against that but what’s more likely is for them to go to for 10 minute quarters with media time outs of the under five minute mark in each quarter. That would be one less television time out per half.

It’s been this way for SDSU since the first round. They beat on opponents with few calls. It’s like they dare the refs to foul them out. They know the refs won’t call them all. Might as well give them boxing gloves

I have no idea why there weren’t could called on Tennessee when they played Duke - and I can’t stand Duke. They were basically beating them up. Shades of the Flyers beating up the Russians.

Yeah, the officiating throughout the tournament has been more and more baffling and more and more inconsistent and more and more disappointing.

So many wrong calls and so many non-calls.

The most interesting Final Four in years.

A testament as to why the NCAA needs to expand the CFP and have all games played on neutral turf.

Mo Mentum seems to be playing all over the place last weekend AND this weekend.

Officiating not getting any better. Rugby plays go uncalled then we get ticky tacky calls. As frustrating as it is to watch, gotta be gut wrenching for teams playing (and the teams no longer playing)!

They don’t give points for form and technique in basketball.

It’s a physical game. They do give you five fouls. It’s a pity not to use them. Your fans will love you for it, and the opposing fans will cry. So be it.

Back in the 1970s a coach who played for some good Steel High teams as a kid would tell a story. Early in every game he would approach his opponent during a time out and point out an imaginary line twelve feet out from the basket, baseline to baseline. “Come inside that line with the ball and you will end up on the floor”, he’d say. There was a reason a school with a Class A enrollment could play Harrisburg, Reading, and other Class AAA schools at the time even.

My favorite HS win was when we beat Steel-High in their gym senior year and I had 4 pts off the bench…and I didn’t get off the bench much in tight games. Those fans mf’d us off the court. Still makes me grin almost 30 yrs later.

I get it, the fans come for finesse and offense. But defense and legal contact is still a part of the game and the finesse teams have not been able to handle the constant ball pressure that San Diego State brings.

I can’t believe they called a foul there.
Talking heads were all, “That call was not made earlier in the game, so no way can you call it a foul now.” Seth Greenberg, who I like, was particularly hot and bothered.
