Please use this thread for discussions in advance, during, and after the Super 32 Challenge for matches that take in the competition. It takes place on 10/15 & 10/16, at Greensboro, NC. Between the Phillies, PSU - Michigan, and the Eagles, as well as other things on my schedule, I won't be able to provide much (if any) coverage of the tournament.

I believe PSU commits Cael Nasdeo, Braeden Davis, and Dalton Perry are competing in the event. I haven't found the brackets, so I can't check if any other commits will be at the event.

It appears that:
- Cael Nasdeo is seeded 14th @ 120
- Braeden Davis is seeded 5th @ 126
- Dalton Perry is seeded 8th @ 132

Others of interest:
- Bo Bassett is seeded #2 @ 113
- Pierson Manville is seeded #3 @ 138

I have no idea why other PSU verbals are not entered. Josh Barr and Rocco Welsh have been going at it at top tournaments for a few years, but while Rocco is entered @ 170, Josh is not. I'm pretty sure Tyler Kasak was at last year's Super 32, but he doesn't appear to be entered this year. Etc.

120 lbs. is crazy in terms of how deep the field is. 126 is also pretty deep. 138 has a lot of the top-ranked guys.

I couldn't locate Dalton Perry in the brackets (he might be there -- I didn't have a lot of time to look)

I'm not sure if the above #XX are the seeds or their Flo rankings.

Didn't see Dalton Perry listed as a PA entrant

120 lbs. is crazy in terms of how deep the field is.

Case in point, U-17 World silver medalist, Jax Forest (Bishop McCort) got pinned in the quarters by #8 Jordyn Raney (KY) (the kid that had an amazing Fargo tournament) @ 3:13.

There are Raney twin brothers from central Kentucky (Union HS I believe). One of them recently beat Bo Basset

3rd Place Match: #4 Braeden Davis DEC #3 Aden Valencia (CA), 2-1, UTB

I believe that Braeden and Valencia each had just an escape in regulation, but Braeden had a rideout in the UTB for the win (not certain; didn't see the match).

To update @ 120, Luke Lilledahl (also a silver medalist at World U-17) won, Jordyn Raney (KY) took 2nd, Jax Forrest (PA) took 3rd, Marcello Milani (MI) took 4th, and Vinny Kilkeary (PA) took 5th. A really stacked bracket.

And speaking of the phenom from Bishop McCort, he won Super 32 @ 113. He was seeded #2, and defeated #1 seed Anthony Knox (NJ) in the final, 10-5.

Not a bad tournament for Davis. Losing to Davino by 1 is nothing to hang your head about. If Cael’s recruiting history bears out here, this kid has a really high ceiling and is just starting to hit his potential.
