I made chickin tinga in the crock pot last night. I used too much tomato so it came out more of a stew than a taco filling. Still good though.

What is everyone cooking up today? This is my favorite thread during football season.

We have a big neighborhood party with 2 food trucks and an open bar. For my part, I flew in 40 lbs of crawfish and gonna do a boil for these southern Cali folks. Gonna show them how to get down.

We'll be cooking up some "Liquid Gold" for the game tonight.

Ingredients:
- 1 pound of Velveeta
- 1/2 pound of browned ground beef
- 1 can of Ro-Tel (diced tomatoes and green chilis)

Instructions:
1) pour Ro-Tel into a pot on the stovetop; use medium-low heat
2) cut Velveeta into 1-inch chucks and put it into the pot
3) as the Velveeta melts, stir everything together; don't let the Velveeta burn on the bottom of pot (lower the heat, if necessary)
4) when the Velveeta is completely melted, put in the browned ground beef and stir everything together

It's best served hot. Eat with chips (typically, tortilla chips), toast, bread, crackers . . . or, just simply use a spoon and eat it right out the pot.

If any of it is leftover, you can make an omelette with it for breakfast.

Liquid Gold is magic. (my opinion)

I don’t know who posted this on here in the past, but i need to thank them as I for it all the time now.

I’ve been smoking a pork butt since this morning. I am making my own chips in the oven out of cut up tortillas. Top those with the pork, queso, onions, and jalapeños. Seriously, thanks to whoever posted this in the past.

To drink: Founders breakfast stout

Came to this website exclusively for this thread today….

Put on a whole packer brisket and pork butt last night about 9pm on the Weber Smokey Mountain. They finished off about 11:30 this morning and I have them both resting in a cooler.

Will chop up some of the brisket for pregame nachos.

I’ve got about 3lb of strip steak marinating in some taco seasoning and Worcestershire that I’m gonna grill for street tacos tonight, but other than that, it’s just simple heat and eat stuff for us tonight. Rotel, mozzarella sticks, smokies, and chicken egg rolls.

On a semi-related note(ok, maybe not), any of y’all have a bar setup that you’re particularly proud of? I’ve got an 8-ft wall space I’m going to use as part of my Spring bar project, and I think I’ve got a general idea of what I want to do, but still brain storming

Bowl of cereal. If I'm feeling perky might add some blueberries.
