I wonder how Taylor felt about that display of toxic masculinity. After seeing that sideline clip, I tried to imagine how Mike Ditka would have reacted to having a player do to him what Kelce did to Andy Reid.
Kelce would be looking for his teeth. After seeing that sideline clip, I tried to imagine how Mike Ditka would have reacted to having a player do to him what Kelce did to Andy Reid.
Pretty sure teams try to do anything to avoid that situation. In this game 49ers had a 3&4 inside the 15 yard line, If they convert and score game over. No one on that sideline wanted just a FG and give Mahomes a chance to put it away.First 3 quarters was pretty bad football to watch. Defenses were playing well, but offenses looked rusty. Hate to see Greenlaw injured running into the field. That was an huge loss.
Entertaining finish. Not sure why teams allow Mahomes to have the ball at the end in every single big game. Blocked extra point ended up being pretty huge.
Thought there were some clever commercials. But those haven’t been nearly as good as the 90’s commercials for sometime now. The CeraVe commercial with Michael Cera was probably the best one by a big margin.
Yep. And of course teams don’t want to give Mahomes the ball…but they get so carelss. The Bills did the same thing. It happens every time. The 49ers had 2nd and 4 if I recall correctly. At that point I would’ve run the ball twice to at least get close to the first down marker. They had to throw on 3rd and 4 which saved KC some time or at least a timeout. In time management situations, these coaches seem to choke.Pretty sure teams try to do anything to avoid that situation. And yet he did.
I was neutral the whole game, and then OT rolled around, and I found myself pulling for SF. When they had to settle for the FG you could just feel that KC was going to win.
He definitely should’ve went on D to start OT. Things would’ve played out differently of course, but the Chiefs likely don’t go for the 4th down deep in their own territory if they didn’t know they had to. By taking the ball, you’re now giving Mahomes 4 downs instead of 3.Really bad move by the 49ers to take the ball first in OT. I can’t think of anything that justifies that. You put all the pressure on your team and you free up Mahomes mentally because he knows exactly what he needs to win. You also give them 4 downs the whole drive because they have to go for it - whereas the Chiefs probably punt the ball if they have it first.
I like Shanahan as a coach, but dude choked bad.

His reasoning was that he believed you are more at and advantage to get the 3rd possession, when it becomes sudden death if both teams score TDs or kick FGs. I just can’t see that being a bigger advantage as I’m putting my D out there to get the ball back so I can win…not thinking of forcing another tie. The mentality seems so flawed which is probably why Shanahan has had 3 10 point + leads in a Super Bowl and has lost all 3 (One as Falcons OC).
They needed to rest their out of condition defense that just got run down the field.Really bad move by the 49ers to take the ball first in OT. I can’t think of anything that justifies that.
