OK - out of respect for privacy and confidentiality, I can't provide any details, but I have learned through a very credible source that a University of Iowa alum has made a fairly substantial donation to help support the Penn State wrestling program. I wish I could see the look on Slumlord Bob's face if/when he learns that former Hawks are undermining his efforts to buy Iowa a better position in the NCAA final rankings.

Wrestled for Iowa, was on the HWC board, disconnected with the coaching staff now. When he does shows (with Basch and Willie), he clearly is discontent with the way Iowa has been run since NIL/Portal became a thing. Is always extremely complimentary to the way Cael has run things at PSU/NLWC.
That being said, I think some wires are getting crossed in this rumor since it makes very little sense. I think @AgSurfer obviously earned the benefit of the doubt 100%.

Nope, my info is 100% accurate. Like I said, I can't reveal details because it would be a breech of confidentiality, but my source for the information is definitely in a position to know about it.

Without divulging the name: is it a former Iowa wrestler, or an Iowa athlete in a different sport, or an athlete at a different school who attended Iowa for grad school, or someone from the general alumni body?
Asking because Slumlord Bob wasn't a college wrestler. IIRC he was on the track team.

Cael and the NLWC are the future of USA wrestling. So it doesn't surprise me that much.
The fact that he's a Hawk fan makes for good conversation, but anyone who wants to see success on the international stage has to respect, and possibly support, what is happening in Happy Valley.

Anyone else notice a bunch of industrial PE/IB guys from various places on the donor list for NLWC. Most didn't have wrestling backgrounds, I just wonder if some of them did org study or team building stuff through NLWC. I just got the mailing last week.
