looks like Ole Miss will end up hitting this guy for an extremely early view. They seem a bit like us in that they seem to do well against power pitchers, not so good against junk ballers. To early to tell but I think OM wins this one.

through 2 innings he hasn't given up a hit, has 2 strikeouts, and is consistantly getting ahead on counts. I think Missouri will win this game pretty easily.

I figured it would be a very tight, low-scoring game with Crow & Lynn throwing today.....and could be if Lynn stays away from the 1st inning wildness that cost him a run.

Miami is holding their best pitcher back for tomorrow's game. Whoever wins today will have very little chance of winning tomorrow with their #2 against Miami's #1.

With Crow on the mound, Missouri has a decent chance against anybody.

Honestly there is no guarantee Miami beats BC. BC gave Miami a couple good games earlier this year, and BC's ace is pretty stout. Miami throwing their No. 3 pitcher could end up coming back to haunt them if BC's ace has a really good day. The guy is 9-1 with a 1.20 ERA. I don't think I'd be taking a chance throwing my No. 3 guy against a guy with those numbers.

can't beat them with their #3 starter, then they don't deserve to win this Regional anyway.</p>

I disagree. There are quite a few 4 seeds that aren't pushovers (BC being one of them), and quite a few have a very good ace that can beat anyone on any given day (BC is one of them). In my opinion, if they can't beat Mizzou or us with their No. 2 guy they don't deserve to win their regional.

We drew BC 2 years ago in our regional as a 4 seed. We threw our ace because they had a very good ace. It took back to back solo HRs in the 7th for us to win the game 3-2.

I'd agree with the strategy if they had drawn Texas Southern, Columbia, or a program that doesn't have anything, but BC is a solid program. Miami played BC twice this year already. They beat them 10-5 and 7-6.

In the 10-5 game, they were only up 6-4 after 7 innings, and in the 7-6 win, they needed a 3 run 8th inning to be able to come from behind to beat BC. It's a very dangerous game for Miami, and I think it's a big risk for Miami to save their ace, especially knowing that neither Mizzou or Ole Miss is saving their ace.

pitching in the ACCT. Only UVa. slowed them down and they gave up 7 runs and lost. The Canes look like a real tight group is why I think nobody stops them this year. They are a different team than earlier this year.

They are not a great team, but they are a team that's capable of beating a 1 seed with their ace on the mound if they play a good game. It's definitely a risk by Miami to go with their No. 3 guy.
