to my central heating/cooling unit, would it be worth it to file a claim? Might they raise my rates, no previous claims in the 6 years I've been with them.

Just so you will know.. I replaced mine a year ago and it was $4100. That was a new unit and heater and 10 year warranty.

Just so you will know.... I replaced mine about 4 years ago. Bought the condensor unit and air handler wholesale thru a connection and installed it myself. Spent about $1,500.
