The final replay they showed looked like he led with the shoulder instead of the helmet. I’m still shocked it was not called.

They said he used his shoulder enough to make it not be forcible contact.

I need to get my eyes checked. I thought it was the clearest helmet to helmet I’ve seen in a while.

Just about every penalty has subjectivity built into it or do we or don't we.....

I thought he the rule on the Qb stated that if you hit the qb’s head it didn’t matter what body part you hit him with, and the qb’s head was clearly hit.

Not, sure, but the announcers agreed that it was not.

I did not hear it all.
One commentator first said “If that’s not targeting, I don’t know what targeting is.” Then they explained that, since the QB was considered a defenseless player, it didn’t matter what he hit him with as long as it was forcible contact to the head. Then they tried to explain it away by saying he led with the shoulder, which he clearly did not. It made no sense. Should have been targeting.
