Some of you seem way too happy to see things go wrong. I'd never root against UK or hope for an empty stadium with glee just to get rid of our coach. The buyout situation all but assures at least one more season unless Stoops himself decides he has had enough. If this season continues to tank and next season is not considerably better I suspect Stoops will decide he has had enough unless returning personnel is exceptional enough to restore his confidence in this situation.

I understand your points, and they are valid, but when the momentum is negative, and seemingly increasing in that direction, how does a program reverse it ?!

It's not easy and can't say definitively by any means. The best I can say is we must find the right OC and we must upgrade the roster or significantly develop some of our younger talent. We have a serious lack of difference makers. Our best hope as of right now is to ride McGowan as much as feasible. That is of course if he is not suspended for drilling Sellar's grandfather with the football.

I don’t think anyone is happy about the situation. Unfortunately, Barnhart put us in this situation and the only way out is to show him with not showing up. I’ll root like heck at home, but I’m not going to any games to support this staff. Took the Vandy Joker game for him to realize it was time to move on.

Honest question. I admit I do not know the answer, but have the NIL$$$ and transfer portal, for whatever reasons like basketball, demise of coal, limited financial resources, expansion of SEC, etc., made it easier or harder for KY to be moderately successful playing SEC football ??

I think it has definitely gotten more difficult.

I'd say it depends on the weather. A lot of people just go to these games as a social event to tail gate and hang out. I don't think the majority go to games expecting any greatness on the field anymore sadly.

Tech is having a great season so far. I have a degree from there but did it online so not much attachment to the school or campus itself. Cookeville is a nice little city though. Sometimes i dream of moving there or further east to escape the awfulness that is nashville area.

So you are saying UK fans should have kept supporting the team during Jokers last year, kept filling the stands so Mitch could have brought him back for another year or 2????

No not at all. If people choose to boycott that is up to them. I've never suggested Joker should have had more time. I do detest actively rooting against your own program just because you hate the coach though.

If I decide not to go to the Tennessee Tech game (TBD), can I sell you my tickets?

Well if we can't buy him out and he won't leave then we'll just suck for a few years. I guess it won't matter much if Barney is still AD. Not a bright picture.

No one roots against the program, we all would love nothing better than to be a winning program. But after 13 years we don't want Stoops to squeak out 6 wins and Mitch to say that is good enough. And I have saw many fans on here saying 6 wins this year would be good. wtf?

You quickly contradicted yourself in this one post. You state right here that you don't want us to even get 6 wins because that would hurt your crusade to get rid of the coach. I want as many UK wins as possible always. Nobody is claiming the current direction is looking good but there are realities here that likely can't be circumvented. I'm not saying it couldn't happen but assuming the next guy will win much bigger than Stoops is not all that realistic.

So you are saying you are happy with keeping a coach that is 13 years into the job and that can barely get enough wins to keep his job? Because if Stoops wins 6 games this year and 6 games next year that is enough to keep Mitch happy and Stoops employed. When it was evident that Joker was not the answer, did you want him to luck into a few more wins so that he could come back for a 3rd year???

What personnel???? The same paid guys who cant block, cant fall on a fumble? Cant take a little adversity and recover??? This is and has been the script for UK since porky got here. Bye week, come out and get boat raced. Biggest game on the schedule? Come out and crap the bead or pi ss down your leg.

At this point I am rooting for stoops to fail, and fail miserably. I have zero sympathy for a man making 9 mill a year, a QB getting paid 1 mill. I have zero sympathy for any player at this point who getting paid. This is absolute BS, they are getting paid more than most on this board make. If you performed this poorly you would be terminated

My honest assessment is we've missed on identifying the correct players to bring in. They've still been getting highly ranked transfer classes and recruiting classes, so either they're mis-identifying the players and whiffing on them, or not developing those players or a combination of the two.

Seems a lot of the players arent recruited to fit Hamdens style, neither Boley or Calzada seem to fit what he did at BSU. Development is a huge miss, Josh Allen is the exception. Coaching is lacking in all areas.

So you abandoned the claim that nobody roots against their own team hoping to get the coach fired? You have pretty quickly admitted that you yourself do just that. I have clearly stated numerous times I want UK to win as many as possible. So if the option is 6 wins or less I definitely want the 6 wins. By the same principle I absolutely rooted for Joker to win as many as possible.

Just more proof that we do indeed have "fans" rooting against their own program because they hate the coach. Sympathy for anyone was never mentioned so I don't what that diatribe is all about.

Your comprehension skills really need work. This was predicated on the possibility of already having three straight losing seasons at that point. Therefore the current personnel is not the point here. It would be a matter of his confidence in what he had going into 2027.

And you are more proof that we have "fans" that are happy with winning 5 to 6 games a year every year. You know winning 6 games a year will keep an incompetent coach employed and you think that is what is best for the program. smh
